Atheism is a Religion

Read a nice bit on the internets the other day about atheism being a religion.

Folks may assert that atheism is a belief that God does not exist.

This however, does not take into account the thousands of possible gods that may exist. And so, by this logic, we are all members of thousands of different religions. For example, a Catholic does not believe in Allah as he is described in the Quran, and therefore must belong to a religion that believes he does not exist.
